Landslide Damage Assessed in Sikkim's Cut-Off Lachen

Imagine a town called Lachen in the mountains that got cut off because of big mudslides blocking the roads.

It has been almost three weeks since people could go in or out!

Now, some officials went to Lachen to see how bad the damage is.

They checked houses and places where landslides could happen again and made sure there was enough food and medicine.

The heavy rain also made a river get bigger and washed away some land.

The government is trying to fix the roads, but more rain is expected soon, which is making it difficult.
