One Piece Anime and Netflix Series Set for 2026 Returns with New Pacing
Get ready for more pirate adventures in 2026!
Both the One Piece anime and the Netflix live-action show are coming back.
The anime will have a short break from January to March 2026 but will return in April.
However, to make the story better, the anime will now have fewer episodes each year, about 26 instead of the usual 30 or more.
This change will help the animators focus on the manga's pacing and add more detail.
The Netflix live-action series, which follows Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew searching for treasure, will release its second season on March 10, 2026.
The Netflix show is so popular that it's already been picked up for a third season, which will start filming later this year.
Fans can look forward to new islands and characters in both versions of the story.
The One Piece anime will return in April 2026 after a three-month break.
The anime's annual episode count will be reduced to a maximum of 26 episodes to improve pacing and content.
Netflix's live-action One Piece series will premiere its second season on March 10, 2026.
Netflix has also announced an early renewal for a third season of the live-action series, with production starting later in 2026.
Both adaptations continue the story of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat crew's quest for the One Piece treasure, based on Eiichiro Oda's manga.
