Two Girls Detained After Alleged Drowning at Vrindavan Shelter

A 14-year-old girl died at a girls' shelter home in Vrindavan.

Police initially thought her death might have happened naturally.

A medical examination later indicated that she had drowned.

CCTV footage allegedly showed two other girls holding her head inside a bucket of water.

The two girls are 14 and 15 years old.

Police said they confessed after seeing the footage.

Investigators said the girls wanted the shelter home to close so they could return home.

Five girls have been booked in connection with the case.

Officials have ordered a judicial inquiry to examine what happened.
