Gujarat CM Approves Grants for New Gram Panchayat Offices
Gujarat is giving money to build new offices for the local village councils, called Gram Panchayats.
The government is giving nearly 490 crore rupees to build over 2,000 new offices.
These offices will help villagers get services more easily.
The amount of money each village gets depends on how many people live there.
This is happening so every village in Gujarat can have a good office to help run things in the community.
Gujarat CM approved a grant of Rs 489.95 crore for 2,055 new Gram Panchayat offices.
The move aims for 100% saturation in providing Panchayat Ghars and Talati-cum-Mantri residences.
Grants allocated based on village population: Rs 40L for over 10,000 residents, Rs 34.83L for 5,000-10,000, and Rs 25L for under 5,000.
Construction of most offices expected to begin within the year.
New offices will have modern facilities for more efficient access to government services.
