AI Adoption Rises Among Developers Amidst Trust Concerns
Imagine you're a software developer, and you're starting to use AI to help write code.
A recent study shows more and more developers are trying this out, like 84% of them!
But, it looks like they aren't as sure about the AI's answers.
Only about a third of them trust that the AI is correct.
This is down from the past.
Also, the study found many developers aren't using the most advanced AI helpers, and some don't plan to use them at all.
On the other hand, those who do are getting things done faster and being more productive.
AI adoption among developers is up to 84%, an increase from 76% the previous year.
Only 33% of developers trust the accuracy of AI tools, a decrease from 43% in 2024.
Developer approval of AI dropped to 60%, down from 72% in 2024 and 77% in 2023.
Over half of developers avoid AI agents or use basic tools; 38% don't plan to integrate AI agents.
70% of developers using AI agents reported faster task completion, and 69% saw increased productivity.
