Shiv Sena Councillor's Husband Hacked to Death
A man named Mangesh Kalokhe, who is the husband of a newly-elected councillor, was killed in a town called Khopoli in Maharashtra.
He was attacked by a group of men with sharp weapons, including a sword, while he was returning home after dropping his daughters at school.
The police think this happened because of a political rivalry between him and his opponents.
The main accused and some others are being blamed for this crime.
The police are investigating the case.
The family has accused the police of negligence.
Mangesh Sadashiv Kalokhe, husband of Shiv Sena corporator Manasi Kalokhe, was hacked to death in Khopoli, Raigad district.
The incident occurred around 7 am near a bar in the Vihari area while Kalokhe was returning home after dropping his daughters at school.
The murder is believed to be a result of political rivalry and old enmity with his opponents.
The main accused include Ravindra Parshuram Deokar, Darshan Ravindra Deokar, Dhanesh Ravindra Deokar, Sachin Sandip Chavan, Sudhakar Parshuram Ghare, and Bharat Bhagat.
Eight police teams are searching for the accused. So far, the main accused, Ravindra Devkar, and his son Darshan have been arrested.
