A crude oil ship called MT Kazimah III was hit by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz.

The ship flies Kuwait’s flag and was heading to Lomé in Togo.

Five Indian nationals were aboard.

The Indian Embassy in Oman helped coordinate their rescue, with support from Omani authorities.

All five were brought safely ashore.

Reports did not say who fired the projectile.

India says it is keeping watch over the safety of Indian seafarers working on ships in the region.
