CPI(M) MP highlights aviation duopoly, safety concerns in RS
A politician named John Brittas spoke in the Indian parliament about problems in the country's airline industry.
He said that two big airlines control most of the market, which leads to high prices and bad treatment of passengers.
He also talked about recent plane crashes and said the government needs to do more to keep passengers safe.
He wrote a letter to the Prime Minister about these issues and wants the government to take action.
CPI(M) MP John Brittas raised concerns about a duopoly in India's aviation sector in the Rajya Sabha.
He mentioned recent plane crashes, including the Learjet 45 crash that killed Maharashtra deputy CM Ajit Pawar.
Brittas urged the government to control excessive pricing and oligopolistic practices by airlines.
He highlighted that two airlines hold 90% of the market share, unlike in other countries.
