Supreme Court Declines Relief for Venu Srinivasan in Idol Case

The Supreme Court of India is hearing a case about antique idols at a temple in Chennai.

The case involves allegations that idols were stolen and replaced without permission.

Venu Srinivasan is one of the people connected to the case.

The court did not grant him relief on Thursday, October 8.

That does not decide the case, which is still being heard.

More arguments are scheduled for October 14, 2026.

Srinivasan is chairman emeritus of TVS Motor Company and a board member of Tata Sons.
