JSW Cement Reports Q1 Loss Due to Share Conversion
JSW Cement, a company that makes cement, announced its financial results for the first quarter of the financial year 2026.
The company reported a loss of over 1300 crore.
This was mainly due to a one-time accounting adjustment from turning special shares into regular shares.
Despite the loss, revenue went up, which was good news.
The company's earnings also increased, showing better performance.
Excluding this one-time cost, the company had an adjusted profit of ₹100 crore.
Overall, the company's operational performance improved during this quarter.
JSW Cement's loss widened to Rs 1,356.17 crore in Q1 FY26.
The loss was attributed to the conversion of Compulsorily Convertible Preference Shares (CCPS) into equity shares.
Revenue from operations increased by 7.77% year-on-year to Rs 1,559.82 crore.
Operating EBITDA increased by 39% year-on-year to Rs 322.7 crore.
