Graphite India, HEG, Goa Carbon shares surge up to 25%
The shares of three companies, Graphite India, HEG, and Goa Carbon, have gone up a lot in the past month.
Graphite India's shares went up by 25%, HEG's by 22.33%, and Goa Carbon's by 12%.
This is because people think there will be more demand for something called graphite electrodes.
These are used in making steel.
A new rule in Europe, starting in 2026, will make companies that don't use a certain type of furnace pay more.
This is expected to make more companies use the type of furnace that needs graphite electrodes.
Also, there's less supply of these electrodes, which makes them more valuable.
So, the companies that make them are doing well in the stock market.
Graphite India, HEG, and Goa Carbon shares have surged up to 25% in a month.
The rally is driven by expectations of increased demand for graphite electrodes due to the EU CBAM starting January 1, 2026.
HEG shares rose 22.33% in a month, Graphite India by 25%, and Goa Carbon by 12%.
Graphite electrode demand is expected to surge as steel production via Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) rises.
Supply of graphite electrodes is shrinking, further driving up demand and stock prices.
