Taiwan Searches for Missing F-16V Pilot

Taiwan is searching for a pilot who had to leave their plane during a training exercise.

The plane, an F-16V, lost contact with radar near the eastern coast.

The pilot, whose name is Captain Hsin, took off from Hualien Air Base for a routine night training mission.

The plane lost contact about 10 nautical miles east of Fengbin Township.

The president and other leaders are helping with the search.

The weather is bad, making the search harder.

No one knows if the pilot was able to safely leave the plane or if they made any calls for help.

The search is still going on.
