Federal Bank Launches Biometric Payments for Online Transactions in India
Imagine buying things online without typing in those annoying codes!
Federal Bank has made this possible.
Now, when you use your card, you can use your fingerprint or face to confirm your purchase.
This makes it faster and more secure.
It's like unlocking your phone to pay.
The system is approved by the government and uses your device to make sure it's you.
If your fingerprint or face isn't recognized, it will still use the normal code as a backup.
Federal Bank launched India's first biometric authentication for e-commerce card transactions.
Customers can now authenticate online purchases using fingerprint or Face ID.
The solution replaces OTPs, reducing transaction times to about 3-4 seconds.
It's compliant with RBI's 2-factor authentication guidelines, with OTP fallback.
The feature is available for Federal Bank cardholders across select partner merchants.
