Chadar Spread in Temple Sparks Protest in Kodagu

Chadar Spread in Temple Sparks Protest in Kodagu

Some unknown people went to a very old and important Hindu temple in Kodagu and spread a chadar (a cloth used in Islamic traditions) and flower petals near the most sacred part of the temple.

They also took videos of this and shared them online.

A group called Hindu Hitarakshana Samiti, which protects Hindu interests, got very upset.

They cleaned up the chadar and petals and said this was an attempt to take over the temple land and turn it into a graveyard.

They also said that Islamic fundamentalists were trying to build a tomb near the temple.

The temple is very old and belongs to the Chola dynasty, and many Hindus come to visit it.

The pro-Hindu group even blocked a road to protest this incident.
