House Panel Pushes for Domestic HVDC Manufacturing

House Panel Pushes for Domestic HVDC Manufacturing

A government committee wants India to make its own parts for high voltage power lines, called HVDC.

Right now, India has to buy these parts from other countries, which is slowing down the building of important renewable energy projects.

The committee found that there weren't enough companies bidding to build these HVDC stations in India.

So, they are asking the government to help build factories in India that can make these parts.

This will help make sure the country can build power lines and other energy projects on time and at a good price.
