Chandigarh Explores International Partnerships for 24×7 Water Supply
Chandigarh is thinking about working with countries like Israel and Russia to help them have water all day and night.
They have eight different ideas on how to do this, like getting help from other countries, working with private companies, or asking the central government for more money.
The project is important because it will make sure everyone has clean water with good pressure.
The mayor and the governor will talk about this in a meeting soon.
They want to make sure it doesn't cost too much money for the people living there.
Chandigarh is considering international partnerships with Israel and Russia for a 24×7 water supply project.
Eight implementation options are proposed, including international collaboration, public-private partnerships, and central government support.
The project aims to modernise the water distribution network, improve service reliability, and reduce non-revenue water.
Concerns include the financial burden on residents and the need for a realistic, data-driven approach.
The upcoming Municipal Corporation meeting will discuss these options, with the Governor of Punjab and UT Administrator in attendance.
