Former X-Men '97 Showrunner Accuses Kevin Feige of Resentment
Imagine a TV show that everyone loved, called X-Men '97.
The person who made it, Beau DeMayo, said the boss of Marvel, Kevin Feige, wasn't happy about it.
DeMayo said that Feige was upset because fans liked X-Men '97 so much they wished the rest of the Marvel movies were more like it.
Even though the show was a hit and everyone liked it, DeMayo said the boss didn't show up to celebrate the show's success, which made him feel like he and the show weren't appreciated.
It's like the boss didn't want to give any credit for the show because it wasn't made by them.
Former X-Men '97 showrunner Beau DeMayo claimed Kevin Feige resented the show's success.
DeMayo stated Feige was unhappy fans used the show as an example for desired MCU content.
Marvel employees allegedly praised the show, which DeMayo perceived as a threat to studio leadership.
Feige and Louis D'Esposito did not attend the show's premiere, according to DeMayo.
X-Men '97, released in March 2024, revisits classic mutant characters from the 1992 animated series.
