$8.6 Billion Boeing Contract for Israel
The US government has given Boeing a big contract worth $8.6 billion to make new fighter jets for Israel.
These are called F-15IA aircraft.
The deal is for 25 jets right now, but they can buy 25 more later.
The work will be done in St. Louis and will take until 2035 to finish.
Some people in the US are not happy because they think the US should not give weapons to Israel, but the government still made this deal.
The US has been giving Israel weapons for a long time because they are allies.
Boeing awarded an $8.6 billion contract for 25 F-15IA aircraft for Israel, with an option for 25 more.
The contract includes design, production, and delivery of the aircraft.
Work will be performed in St. Louis and is expected to be completed by December 31, 2035.
The contract is part of foreign military sales to Israel, a long-time US ally.
Pro-Palestinian and anti-war protesters have demanded an end to US military support for Israel, but the contract was still awarded.
