NAKSHA Scheme Training to Commence on Monday
Imagine the government is teaching people how to measure and map land in cities better.
This is part of a program called NAKSHA.
They're training officers who work for the cities.
These officers will learn how to use new technology to accurately map where buildings and land are.
This training will happen in different places, like Pune and Guwahati, starting on Monday.
The goal is to help cities keep good records of land, which is important because more people are living in cities now.
The Department of Land Resources will start the second batch of the NAKSHA capacity-building program on Monday.
The training will be conducted across four Centers of Excellence (CoEs) in India.
128 ULB-level and district officers from around 74 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) will participate.
The program aims to train officers in using geospatial technologies for urban property surveys.
The NAKSHA program addresses the need for modern, verifiable land records in urban areas.
