Morena Solar Project to Expand Power Storage
The government is working on a solar power project in Morena, Madhya Pradesh.
Currently, the project can store solar energy for 4 hours, but they want to make it store energy all day and night.
They will do this in steps, eventually reaching 24-hour storage.
This project has already achieved a low electricity price.
A university from California is helping with this project.
The goal is to provide clean energy to more places, maybe even other states, once they can store the power for longer.
The Morena Solar Project aims to increase storage capacity.
Currently, storage is limited to 4 hours.
The goal is to reach round-the-clock storage in phases.
The project achieved a low tariff of Rs 2.70 per unit.
Berkeley University is assisting with the project.
