Prateeksha Srivastava's 'Sajna Ve' Brings a Woman's View on Love
Prateeksha Srivastava is a singer from India.
She started learning music when she was only three years old.
She became famous after a song she made with singer Sunidhi Chauhan went viral.
Now she has a new song called 'Sajna Ve.'
The song is about a girl who likes a boy and decides to tell him herself.
Prateeksha wanted to share a woman's side of love stories because she felt Hindi songs were missing it.
The music video uses Cupid, the god of love, and takes place in Lucknow, where she grew up.
She also made a small album called 'Tiny Truths' with three songs about love and feelings.
Spotify chose her as a RADAR artist to help more people discover her music.
Prateeksha Srivastava, a finalist on Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2009, released her latest single 'Sajna Ve.'
She wrote the song to bring a woman's point of view on love to Hindi music, showing a girl making the first move.
The music video, set in her hometown Lucknow, uses the god Cupid shooting an arrow of love as its concept.
Her viral collaboration 'Aankh' with Sunidhi Chauhan was a milestone, while her EP 'Tiny Truths' came out in September 2025.
She was selected as a Spotify RADAR artist and featured on Spotify's RADAR Global playlists.
Srivastava said the biggest challenge of indie music has been learning to earn royalties and survive in Bombay when songs are not viral.
