Siliguri BLO commits suicide over workload
A 48-year-old man named Shravan Kumar Kahar, who worked as a booth-level officer and a schoolteacher, died on Thursday evening.
His body was found in the Teesta river near a bridge in Siliguri, West Bengal.
People think he took his own life because he was very stressed from his job.
He had to do a lot of work for something called the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Some leaders from his political party, Trinamool Congress, visited the hospital where his body was taken.
They said he had told his friends he couldn't handle the pressure.
