NIA Arrests Another Accused in PNB Counterfeit Notes Case
The case is about fake Indian money allegedly being circulated through a Punjab National Bank facility in Saharanpur.

The National Investigation Agency, or NIA, is investigating the case.
It has arrested a person named Nitu.
The agency says Nitu was close to Adesh Choudhary and other accused people.
Three bank employees were also found to be allegedly involved and were suspended.
The NIA had earlier arrested four other people named in the case.
Investigators are still trying to find everyone involved.
The National Investigation Agency arrested Nitu in a counterfeit currency case linked to Punjab National Bank’s currency chest in Saharanpur.
Nitu is a resident of Kunja Bahadurpur village in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, and was described as a close associate of key accused Adesh Choudhary.
Police recovered counterfeit Indian currency notes with a face value of Rs 17.29 crore from the PNB currency chest on August 29, 2026.
Three PNB employees were allegedly involved and were subsequently suspended by the bank.
The NIA took over the case on September 3 and has already arrested four other accused; its investigation is continuing.
