Nestle India Q1 Net Profit Falls Despite Revenue Growth
Nestle India's profit went down a bit, but they still made more money overall.
Think of it like this: they sold more products, which is good.
But, it cost them more money to make those products and run their business.
Things like ingredients and factory costs went up.
This caused their profits to drop a little.
Luckily, sales in India and other countries did really well, especially for their coffee products like Nescafe.
Nestle India's Q1 net profit decreased by 13.4% YoY to Rs 646.5 crore.
Revenue from operations increased by 6% YoY, reaching Rs 5,096 crore.
Domestic sales grew by 5.5% to Rs 4,860 crore, supporting the revenue increase.
Export sales rose by 16% YoY to Rs 214 crore.
High commodity prices and increased operational costs impacted the quarter.
