UP Launches Crorepati Didi Scheme
The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a new scheme called Crorepati Didi to make at least 100 women in each district crorepati.
This follows the success of the Lakhpati Didi scheme.
The government will provide training, market access, financial assistance, and branding to help women become successful entrepreneurs.
Products made by women in self-help groups will be sold in national and international markets, including Europe.
The scheme will also promote local products under the One District, One Product initiative and set up special canteens under the One District, One Cuisine concept.
Additionally, solar power plants and e-rickshaw charging stations will be installed to support women's economic independence.
