Delhi HC Admits Sajjan Kumar's Appeal, HC Asks Centre on Kamal Nath's Role in 1984 Riots
The Delhi High Court has accepted former MP Sajjan Kumar's appeal against his conviction in a 1984 Anti-Sikh riots case.
In a separate development, the court has asked the central government and police to respond to a plea by city minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa.
Sirsa wants a police report produced that supposedly shows Congress leader Kamal Nath was present during a 1984 riot at Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib.
Sirsa wants Nath arrested for his alleged role in the riots, but Nath denies the charges and was never named in the initial police report.
