Violence Against Hindus in Bangladesh Escalates

In Bangladesh, several Hindu men have been attacked or killed in recent weeks.

Dipu Chandra Das, a garment worker, was lynched by a mob over false blasphemy accusations and his body was set on fire.

Another man, Amrit Mondal, was lynched over an extortion allegation.

Most recently, Khokon Das, a businessman, was attacked with sharp weapons, set on fire, and left with severe injuries.

These attacks have raised concerns about the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh, especially with the rise of radical Islamic groups like Jamaat.

The Bangladeshi government has not directly responded to these incidents, and the Hindu community feels unsafe and uncertain about their future.

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has called for global intervention and even demanded the withdrawal of the Nobel Peace Prize from Prime Minister Muhammad Yunus.

The situation highlights the ongoing challenges faced by minority communities in the region.
