Shibu Soren's Life to Be Part of Jharkhand School Curriculum
Starting in 2026, kids in Jharkhand will learn about Shibu Soren, a famous leader, in school.
His life story will be in their textbooks from first grade to high school.
The government hopes this will teach kids about their state's important people and history.
Special teams are creating the lessons with fun activities to make learning more engaging.
Some people are happy about this, and others are wondering if it's right to mix education with politics.
Jharkhand schools will include the life of Shibu Soren in the curriculum from 2026.
Chapters on Soren will be in eight textbooks, from Classes 1 to 12.
The curriculum aims to educate students about Jharkhand's icons alongside national leaders.
The SCERT and JEPC are developing the content, including interactive activities.
The move has received support from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM).
