Amul Plans ₹500 Crore Dairy Expansion Across Southern India

Amul plans to spend more than ₹500 crore on dairy operations in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

It wants to grow in southern India, where it has had a smaller presence.

A new plant is being built in Hyderabad.

Amul already has a modern plant in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh.

That plant makes products such as paneer, yoghurt and dahi.

Farmers can see information about their milk and prices digitally.

They receive payments directly in their bank accounts every 10 days.

Amul says its profits go back to farmers because it has no outside shareholders.
