Three arrested at Atmakur for possessing tiger nails

Some people were caught with tiger claws in a town called Atmakur in Andhra Pradesh, India.

Tiger claws come from tigers, which are special wild animals that need our protection.

It is against the law to have or trade tiger nails.

Forest officials, the people who take care of forests and wild animals, got a smart tip about this.

They stopped a person in Atmakur on August 5 and searched his motorbike.

Inside the bike's petrol-tank cover, they found a blue plastic cover hiding six tiger claws.

The officials arrested that person and then found two more people connected to him.

They said the three men were part of a chain that collects, keeps and tries to deliver such items.

The men were arrested under an important law that protects wildlife.

This shows that officials are working hard to stop people from harming wild animals.
