HC Orders BRTS Removal in 15 Days
The High Court in Indore ordered the city to remove one side of the BRTS (Bus Rapid Transit System) corridor within 15 days.
The court was upset because the city had not done much to remove the corridor even though they were told to do it nine months ago.
The court also made a group of lawyers to watch the work and report back.
The city promised to finish part of the job in 15 days.
The court also talked about other problems like illegal buildings, loud noise, and bad traffic.
They told the people who complained to organize their problems so the city can fix them.
Madhya Pradesh High Court's Indore bench ordered the removal of one side of the BRTS corridor in Indore within 15 days.
A five-member committee of lawyers was formed to monitor the progress and submit a report by the next hearing on December 16.
The court noted that despite a previous order in February 2025, authorities had made little progress in removing the corridor.
The Indore municipal commissioner assured the court that one side of the corridor would be dismantled within 15 days.
The court also addressed other civic issues, including illegal religious structures, noise pollution, and hazardous traffic conditions.
