Tocklai Tea Board Launches Decaffeinated Green Tea, AI Tool
Imagine tea scientists in India are working hard.
They just released a special green tea with less caffeine, like a healthier version!
It might even be as popular as Japanese matcha.
They also created a smart computer program using AI to help grow stronger tea plants that can handle the weather better.
The scientists are doing all this even though they don't have as much money as scientists in other countries like China.
They hope everyone, from the government to the tea farmers, will help support their research so they can keep making great tea for the world.
Tocklai launched a decaffeinated green tea powder with 75% less caffeine.
The green tea is made from Assam tea clones and is rich in antioxidants.
TRA also launched an AI tool to predict drought tolerance in tea plants.
TRA is facing funding shortfalls, prompting a call for more contributions.
A new chairman, Suneel Singh Sikand, was appointed for TRA.
