NIMS Dean Says Allied Health Professionals Are Vital to Modern Healthcare

Medicine now has many specialised branches, not just family doctors.

This means more kinds of trained health workers help care for patients.

At a student orientation at NIMS, speakers said every allied health course has an important role.

Dr Bhushan Raju compared each course to an organ, with each contributing something needed.

He said healthcare specialities have grown as medical science has developed.

He also said more specialised courses may be added in the future.

NIMS offers four-year BSc courses in 11 departments.

The courses have been offered since the 2021–22 academic year.
