Rajasthan Congress Launches Task Force to Find Young Poll Candidates
The Congress party in Rajasthan created a team to find young people who may want to run in local elections.
Youth Congress workers will travel around the state to meet possible candidates.
The program will especially look for people younger than 39.
These people do not have to already belong to the party organisation.
The team will connect suitable people with the party and help prepare them.
It will not officially choose who receives an election ticket.
Party leaders said young candidates could receive more than half of the representation, while women and some social groups would also get opportunities.
Experienced candidates may still be considered when needed.
Congress leaders also plan to discuss problems in government schools during the next Assembly session.
The Congress launched a Panchayat Election Task Force in Rajasthan to identify young people interested in contesting local elections.
Youth Congress teams will visit districts, blocks and panchayats to find potential candidates and send their details to the Pradesh Congress Committee.
The initiative will focus especially on people under 39 who are outside the party organisation but support the Constitution and want to enter politics.
Party state president Govind Singh Dotasra said the task force will not choose candidates or decide tickets; those decisions will follow the established process.
Congress leaders also said they would inspect government schools and raise concerns about repairs, enrolment and basic facilities during the Assembly session.
