AIIMS Nagpur Doctors End Protest After Safety Assurances

Doctors at AIIMS Nagpur stopped protesting after speaking with hospital officials and police.

They had protested because a resident doctor was allegedly attacked inside the intensive care unit.

The attack reportedly happened after a patient’s relative died during treatment.

Police said they would increase security at the hospital.

Police also promised strong action against those responsible.

The doctors wanted the hospital to treat everyone equally.

They said some patients bring letters from politicians or try to frighten hospital workers.

AIIMS said it would manage the legal case.

It also promised that doctors and students would not be punished for joining the protest.
