Indore Cracks Down on Illegal Liquor Sales
In Indore, the government is taking strong action against liquor shops that stay open too late or sell alcohol illegally.
They have formed special teams to check these shops and make sure they follow the rules.
Some shops were even caught selling liquor at night by making small holes in their shutters.
The teams have welded these holes shut and will keep patrolling to catch any wrongdoers.
So far, they have fined many shops and collected a lot of money from these actions.
The government is serious about stopping these illegal activities and will continue to take strict measures.
State Excise Department launched a special enforcement drive to curb illegal liquor sales in Indore.
20 teams were formed to monitor and act against violators, ensuring strict closure of all outlets on time.
Excise teams welded shutters of shops that were selling liquor illegally through small openings at night.
The department has generated Rs 1.28 crore in revenue from actions taken this year, with 3,627 cases registered and Rs 72 lakh in penalties imposed.
