Delhi tribunal awards Rs 31.7 lakh for woman's amputated arm

A woman named Husn Bano Begum was hurt very badly in a car accident.

The car she was riding in hit a cyclist and flipped over.

She got such a serious injury to her arm that doctors had to remove part of it.

A special court in Delhi called the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal looked at what happened.

The court said the driver, Faizan Ansari, was driving carelessly and caused the accident.

Because of this, the court said the woman should get money to help her.

The insurance company, Reliance General Insurance, has to pay her Rs 31.7 lakh.

The money will help pay for her lost work and a new artificial arm.

The company also has to pay extra interest on the money.
