Naav AI Builds AI to Accelerate Book Translation in India
Imagine a tool that quickly translates books into different Indian languages.
Naav AI created TransLit to do just that!
It uses smart computer programs called LLMs to translate books fast.
The goal is to help more people read books in their own language.
Right now, many books take a long time to translate, but this tool can translate a whole book in under an hour.
After the computer translates, human editors make sure everything is correct.
Naav AI is also building another tool to make audiobooks.
The company hopes that it will make information more accessible to everyone.
Naav AI, co-founded by historian Vikram Sampath and technologist Sandeep Singh Chauhan, developed TransLit for rapid book translation.
TransLit uses multiple large language models to translate long-form text across six Indian languages.
The system aims for 80% accuracy, with human editors refining the output.
The startup is developing ZuNaav FM to generate multilingual audiobooks.
Naav AI has raised early backing and plans to offer its service as a platform.
