Global Gold Reserves in 2025
Gold is still very important for countries' money systems in 2025.
Even with new ways to pay like digital money, countries keep gold to help their money stay strong.
The World Gold Council shared new numbers showing which countries have the most gold.
The United States has the most, with over 8,000 tonnes.
Germany and Italy also have a lot.
Some countries, like Russia, have been adding more gold over time.
China has a big amount, but it's not as important compared to all their other money.
Switzerland keeps over 1,000 tonnes, showing they are very stable with money.
These numbers help us see how countries use gold to keep their money safe.
The United States holds the largest gold reserves at 8,133.46 tonnes, unchanged from previous quarters.
Germany has the second-largest reserves at 3,350.25 tonnes, marking its lowest level in 25 years.
