Hazlewood becomes ninth Australian bowler to reach 300 Test wickets

Josh Hazlewood is a fast bowler who plays cricket for Australia.

Test cricket is the longest version of the game, played over several days.

A bowler gets a 'wicket' when they get a batter out.

Hazlewood just reached 300 Test wickets, a huge achievement that only eight other Australian bowlers have ever managed.

Now Australia has four bowlers in one team with at least 300 wickets each — the first time that has happened in Test history.

He reached the milestone on the third day of the first Test against Bangladesh in Darwin, taking six wickets in their first innings.

His 300th wicket was Bangladesh player Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

Bangladesh still batted well, scoring 426 runs to take a 228-run lead.

Young Bangladesh batter Tanzid Hasan scored his first Test century during that innings.

Hazlewood had missed a lot of cricket with injuries over the past year, making his comeback even more special.
