Customer Assaulted by Retail Staff in UP
A man named Karan Singh went shopping with his family at a retail store in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
After selecting some items, he left them at the billing counter to pick up more things.
When he returned, the cashier had started billing another customer, which led to an argument.
A video shows Karan slapping a staff member, after which the staff allegedly dragged him into a room, locked it, and beat him up.
Karan claims he was seriously injured.
The police have registered a case against 14 staff members, including two named employees.
The store staff is also preparing to file a counter-complaint, claiming they were injured.
The police are investigating the matter and will examine CCTV footage to understand what happened.
