Election Commission to Reverify Deleted Andhra Pradesh Voters
The Election Commission is checking voter lists in Andhra Pradesh.
Starting Thursday, local election officers will visit homes to see whether people whose names were removed should still be on the list.
Some names may have been removed because people died, moved, appeared more than once, or could not be found.
If an eligible person was removed by mistake, they can apply to be added again using Form-6.
The officers will check the application before making a change.
The final voter list is expected on October 16.
People who become eligible later can also apply during the stated enrolment periods.
A special drive to reverify ASDD and other ineligible electors begins Thursday during the notice phase.
Booth Level Officers will visit homes with lists of 46,62,583 deleted names and check each elector’s status.
