One Ocean Building Uses Biomimicry for Climate Control

One Ocean Building Uses Biomimicry for Climate Control

The One Ocean Building is a special structure in Yeosu.

It was made for Expo 2012.

Its design was inspired by the bird of paradise flower.

The building has flexible parts on its outside.

These parts can open and close.

Their movement is similar to biological structures.

They help manage how much light and air enter the building.

This is called biomimicry.

Biomimicry means using ideas from nature to solve design problems, not just making something look like nature.
