Himachal Pradesh to Borrow Rs 1,500 Crore for Development
Imagine Himachal Pradesh as a person who needs some money.
The state, like a person, is already in debt.
To get more money for important projects, Himachal Pradesh is going to borrow some money.
They will do this by selling special papers called government stock.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will help with the sale.
There are two different loans, one for a shorter period and another for a longer period.
This money will then be used to build and improve things in Himachal Pradesh.
Himachal Pradesh will raise Rs 1,500 crore in loans.
The loans will be raised through the sale of government stock.
The RBI will facilitate the auction of the securities.
Two separate loans are planned: one for Rs 500 crore (10-year tenure), another for Rs 1,000 crore (15-year tenure).
The funds will be used for development works in the state.
