Have you seen those colorful signs on the side of the road?
They tell you how far you are from your destination and what kind of road you're on.
Yellow and white ones are for big, important roads called National Highways.
Green and white ones are for roads within a state.
Blue or black and white ones are for city roads, and orange and white ones are for village roads.
Knowing these colors helps you understand who's in charge of the road and where you're going!
Milestones in India use different colors to indicate the type of road.
Yellow and white signifies a National Highway, connecting major cities and states.
Green and white denotes a State Highway, connecting cities within a state.
Blue or black and white indicate a city or district road, for urban centers.
