YouTube Launches AI Tools, Promising Support for Creators
YouTube is adding new artificial-intelligence tools for people who make videos.
The company says these tools are meant to handle boring or difficult tasks.
It says human creators will still decide what their videos are about and how they connect with viewers.
A new assistant will help creators edit videos by having a conversation with them.
Other tools will help manage comments and find videos that misuse a creator’s face or voice.
YouTube also plans to translate livestreams into other languages in real time.
These features could help smaller creators make and share videos.
YouTube is also helping creators earn money by recommending products from their videos.
The company says successful creators will encourage more people to make content.
YouTube unveiled new AI tools intended to reduce creators’ editing, production, and administrative work.
The company said AI will support, rather than replace, creators’ voices and creative processes.
A Gemini-powered conversational editing assistant is planned for YouTube Shorts and YouTube Create in early 2027.
