Bengaluru Police Rescue Missing Children Using Safe City Project
The Bengaluru Police have been using special technology to help find and rescue lost or alone children.
They use things like GPS in their cars and special control rooms to talk to each other quickly.
In the last 12 days, they have found many children and brought them back to their families safely.
For example, they found a little boy who was lost and a child who was near a busy road.
The police were able to reach these children very fast, sometimes in just a few minutes.
This shows how technology can help keep children safe in big cities.
Bengaluru Police used the Safe City Project and Namma-112 emergency service to rescue missing children over 12 days.
Technology like GPS patrol vehicles and real-time monitoring enabled swift response times, often within minutes.
Incidents included rescuing a 2-year-old from a mentally unstable woman and a 16-year-old boy with mental challenges.
Children were found alone in various parts of the city, including Bellandur and Kadugodi, and reunited with families.
The quick response, such as reaching a child near the Hoskerehalli flyover in four minutes, highlighted the effectiveness of the technology-backed system.
