Porsche 2025 Deliveries Drop 10% on Weak China Demand
Porsche, a famous German car company, sold fewer cars in 2025 compared to the previous year.
They sold about 10% fewer cars worldwide, which is around 279,449 cars.
The biggest drop was in China, where they sold 26% fewer cars.
In Germany and the rest of Europe, sales also went down by 16% and 13%, respectively.
This happened because of new rules that stopped the sale of some of their cars with regular engines.
In the US, Porsche did better than its competitors, but they still expect to lose money because of new taxes on cars.
About 22% of the cars they sold last year were fully electric, and 12% were hybrids.
Porsche delivered 10% fewer vehicles globally in 2025, totaling 279,449 units compared to 310,718 in 2024.
Sales in China dropped by 26% due to challenging market conditions and intense competition in the luxury and electric vehicle segments.
In Germany and the rest of Europe, sales fell by 16% and 13%, respectively, attributed to supply gaps for combustion engine models due to EU cybersecurity regulations.
Porsche outperformed Mercedes and Audi in North America, with flat sales compared to a 12% decline for its German peers.
Porsche expects to incur roughly 700 million euros in costs due to US tariffs in 2025, as it has no US production site.
