India Passenger Vehicle Dispatches Reach Record August High
Car companies in India sent about 4.5 lakh vehicles to dealers in August.
This was the strongest August dispatch total reported in the articles.
It was also much higher than the same period a year earlier.
Maruti Suzuki India, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra and Hyundai Motor India all reported strong increases.

Maruti Suzuki India’s dispatches rose 35% to 1,76,971 units, while Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra also reported strong growth.
Hyundai Motor India recorded its highest-ever August sales at 54,396 units, up 23.6% year-on-year.
Maruti Suzuki India said demand remained strong but raised the possibility of slower growth later in the financial year as comparisons become tougher.
