IIMs Vary in CAT Score Weightage
Old Vs New IIMs: A breakdown of CAT scores’ weightage for upcoming batch · indianexpress.com

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is an important exam for getting into India's top business schools, called IIMs.

Different IIMs give different amounts of importance to the CAT score when deciding who to admit.

Some IIMs, like IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Ranchi, focus a lot on the CAT score, giving it 65% of the total weight.

Others, like IIM Visakhapatnam, give less weight to the CAT score, only 25%, and look at other things like school marks, work experience, and diversity.

Most IIMs are in the middle, giving around 50-60% weight to the CAT score and the rest to other factors.

This helps students understand how to prepare and apply to different IIMs.
